Diabetes and Looking after your Eyes - Information Morning

Join us for this special information morning focussing on the important topic of diabetes and looking after your eyes. 

We will be joined by our colleagues from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (Health Intelligence) team who will speak about the reasons retinal screening is offered to all people living with diabetes, the importance of attending appointments and the processes they use for screening, analysing results and the NHS referral process for any treatments should they be needed to treat any stages of macular damage or retinopathy.

Guest speaker and campaigner Bernadette Warren will also be doing a talk on her lived experience as a person with diabetes and the challenges of managing the condition and life with sight impairment.

The morning will conclude with a Q&A with our guest speakers. Where you will have the chance to put your questions to them.

We have also invited guest experts from the Macular Society, RNIB, Polyphotonix (Noctura 400) Xyla Healthcare. The Retinal Screening Programme and Open Sight to join us and share their expertise and information about their services, products and support with you.

Parking at the hotel is free for DRWF guests attending the morning.

Registration

£5 per person

Arrival and registration is at 9am for a prompt start at 9:30am. Tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be served on arrival. Meat free and gluten free options will also be available.
