DRWF Events: Support ongoing diabetes research at 25th anniversary fundraising ball
Join DRWF as we celebrate a quarter of a century of diabetes research.
A fundraising ball towards vital future diabetes research will be held later this year as part of the celebrations for DRWF’s 25th anniversary.
We are aiming to raise £20,000 to fund a DRWF Pump Priming Award, a grant which will be awarded to one of our promising researchers.
The fundraising ball will be held at Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth on Saturday, 4th November, from 6.30pm.
We have teamed up with Pop 4 Diabetes, a family-run organisation based in Bournemouth, who have a personal connection with diabetes.
Together, we will be hosting this exciting event in November to celebrate 25 years of providing support and research for people living with diabetes.
The event venue has a glamourous ballroom which can seat more than 200 guests.
For people travelling for the event, we have secured discounted rooms at Marsham Court and also at the neighbouring Holiday Inn - so why not stay the night and enjoy an extended evening with us?
Tickets include three-course meal, drinks reception, disco, entertainment, raffle and auction.
DRWF Research: Pump Priming awards
DRWF annually welcomes applications for project grants from researchers looking into causes, complications, treatment and prevention of all types of diabetes.
The purpose of these project grants is to facilitate the collection of pilot data to support larger scale applications in the future.
