Healthcare professionals working in diabetes recognised at Quality in Care Diabetes Awards
14th annual QiC Diabetes (Quality in Care) Awards recognise, reward and share innovative practice demonstrating quality in diabetes management, education and services for people with diabetes and/or their families.
Outstanding NHS teams from Manchester, Birmingham, Essex, Wales and Leicester, were among many recognised at the prestigious 2024 Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Awards.
The QiC Diabetes team and Sanofi held the live annual awards ceremony at Sanofi’s offices in Reading on 31st October.
The 2024 QiC Diabetes Awards saw worthy winners for Outstanding Educator in Diabetes – James Ridgeway and Diabetes Professional of the Year – Dawn Ackroyd.
Type 1 diabetes ambassador Daniel Newman, who recently presented at the DRWF United Through Diabetes event, took home the honourable People's Award.
A statement from QiC Diabetes said: “This year QiC Diabetes is proud to, once again, work with NHS Wales and NHS England who gave their support to the NHS Wales Outstanding Contribution for Services in Diabetes, which went to Dr Sarah Davies, and the NHS England Outstanding Contribution Award for Services in Diabetes, which went to Professor Partha Kar OBE and the NHSE HCL Team.
“The QiC Diabetes Awards remain a powerful celebration of those revolutionising diabetes care, transforming lives and bringing hope to patients and families, judged by the NHS, patients and industry.
“Congratulations to all of our winners, highly commended, commended and finalists. Well done for your incredible contributions and outstanding work.”
